Lil Missy ![]() Once upon a time, in a land far far away, a little princess was born on the 27th day of the 11th month, and she was called Abigail. To date, she has been educated at St. Hilda's Kindergarten, Ngee Ann Primary School, Chung Cheng High Main, and Temasek Junior College. She loves Temasek Academy tremendously, and has never regretted entering the school. She is an avid MEPer, and also sings in the school choir as an alto. When she grows up, she hope to become an MEP teacher at TJ. If not, she would like to establish her own chain of highly successful candy shops. Though she isn't very good at it, she also likes to play the piano. She loves almost anything strawberry-flavoured, and her favourite colour is orange, though blue, white and pink come pretty close. Her ducky, Uncle Boris, grew up with her and is her confidante, best friend, snuggle buddy, and the best toy ever. |

YEAHHH I finally visited the Seattle aquarium! We went yesterday, and it was pretty fun! Admittedly, it's nowhere near as good as Singapore's, but we were particularly tickled by the rays and the otters and were kept amused for quite some time! I managed to get videos of them, and I'll probably upload them soon, unless the video quality really sucks. We also managed to grab a few more souvenirs from a really cool shop near the aquarium right next to this cute restaurant where we had had our lunch. I'm halfway done with souvenir-buying now! :D Today, we drove down to a nearby city called Snoqualmie, where we saw the Snoqualmie Falls before driving up to the summit, and IT. WAS. SUPER. COOL!!! Hahaha! The falls wasn't really very awe-inducing, because I guess it pales in comparison to more famous ones like the Niagara. It was pretty cool, but because it was super windy, we didn't stay long. We probably only spent 5 minutes there at most, just to take photos. The umbrella kept tugging and tugging, and it felt as if it would either fly away, tearing my arm along with it, or fly away bearing me in tow like how Mary Poppins flies. I probably wouldn't have minded if it was the latter :D Hahahaha! Actually now, come to think of it, the umbrella probably wouldn't have been able to lift dumpling Abi. But at that time, the wind was REALLY strong and that didn't seem like too far-fetched an idea!! After that was the cool part! Dad drove us up the I-90 to the Summit, and I swear, it is the coolest thing ever! At first, it was just rain, and towering mountains shrouded in mist flanked with tall green evergreen trees. Slowly, we began to see piles of snow on the sides of the road, occurences that became more and more frequent as we proceeded along the highway. We were going at about 45 mph though, because we didn't have snow tires, it was dangerous to drive fast because of the high possibility of skidding. Not to mention, it had been raining for pretty long before that, and the roads were extra slippery. In tandem with the increasing frequency of snow covered landscape was the increasing frequency of snow-dusted trees. Then suddenly, the steady increase became an exponential increase, and then BOOM! White! White everywhere! Dad was really worried about skidding, and we were all pretty nervous but frankly, all I could think of then, was "Damn, I wouldn't mind dying now if this is the last thing I see!" Man, was it beautiful or was it beautiful?! I was enraptured! Dad was getting jumpier by the second, and he exited the highway at the first possible landscape. If it was even possible, my surroundings became even more blindingly white. Snow-covered houses, snow-covered telephone wires, snow-covered cars - everything was smothered in a blanket of white! It wasn't as if I haven't seen this on tv before. But seeing things through a box in your living room can never hold a candle to seeing things for real, right in front of you, surrounding you, almost as if it were a part of you. Dad stopped off at a parking lot to punch in our hotel address in the GPS, and we got a brief minute out in teh snow! We really only were out for a minute or so, because Dad was worried that the tires would freeze. So, we took quick photos, and then we were off again. It was amazing. So amazing, it didn't occur to let Boris take a photo with the snowy landscape until it was too late :x Darn! Anyway, today I got to use the com this early only because Daddy brought Mommy to attend his company dinner thing, so we kids have the whole evening to ourselves! :D I guess I'm online too early - no one I usually talk to is online. No one really is online at 1 in the afternoon I guess... 16 hour time difference really sucks. I'm suddenly sleepy. I hope I dream of snowy landscapes (: I've finally gotten a white Christmas! My first white Christmas :D So cool! Damn! Just realized that I have yet to prepare majority of my Christmas presents! Shiiiiiet.

3:41 AM, make that 3:42 Time just keeps rolling on while I'm here stuck like glue So many things cross my mind But nothing stays awhile, so frustrating I just wanna say something worthwhile Hahaha Mercyme is pretty nice. Although it's not exactly 3:42 AM now, I think really have issues with blogging. I've been sitting here since 2:23, and I still have nothing here cos I keep writing and deleting, writing and deleting, cos I just don't know how to put my thoughts down into words! So frustrating, hahaha! A very brief overview of Bellevue would be... that it's a pretty cold and rainy place, basically. It's living up to it's reputation as being part of the rainiest area in the world. The people here are really nice, though. The waiters, especially, are all really friendly and talkative and they basically strike a conversation at every possible opportunity. When I get back to Singapore, I think the difference in the level of service will be very disappointing, hahaha! :x There aren't much sights to see in Bellevue. It isn't a concrete jungle like NYC, and yet it isn't a foresty, suburbian area either. It's a quiet, not very happening city, I'd say... The good thing is, that it's not affected by the recession because the people here are doing very well. Most people here either work for Microsoft or for Boeing. I think, next to Starbucks and Tully's Coffee, the most common buildings I run into around every other corner are Microsoft buildings. They even have a Microsoft campus down in Seattle, complete with a shuttle service, and company cars (electric cars cos they wanna be eco-friendly) for the employees' convenience. The campus itself is pretty cool; I didn't get to see much of it, but Daddy took us around a bit. There's a huge exhibit of Microsoft's progress and everything, showing all their inventions and whatnot. I like the interactive table, super cool! Bellevue is also super small. We've pretty much walked around the entire place, and I'm quite sure I won't get lost if I'm out walking alone. There's not bad shopping choices here though, I must say. Belleve Square is huge, and Daddy is thinking of driving us down to some place called the Factory Outlet or something. THE JEANS HERE ARE CHEAP, OMG! The Levi's, at least. I bought two pairs (though I would dearly have liked to get more... :x hehhee!) and even then, Zac was nagging me D: I wanted another pair of Guess jeans, but they were frekaing 90 bucks! So I didn't D: The whole business about buying jeans was a whole other issue, maybe I'll post about it another time - it was super hilarious!! But yeah, it was fun, though it took like, over two hours! It's late, and I probably should go sleep. I blame the people I'm chatting with now for keeping me awake for so long. I hope I won't be so shag tomorrow... fat hope though, seriously. Hope we aren't doing anything heavy-duty tomorrow :/ hahaha! I wanna see the aquarium... Oh one last thing! They have funny sort of names here, like Sammamish, Chillum, and Snohomish! HAHAHA! I find it very amusing.

Disney is EPIC. I've recently re-watched a few old Disney movies that I used to watch growing up, and I'm amazed at the depth of the movies! I realized and understood things that I never could have as a kid, and watching the movies now, I've fallen in love with Disney all over again! Hehehe. I've decided to learn this song on the piano! IT'S SO COOOOOOOOOOOOL! *U* Hehehe. :D
